2-117th RTI (Armor) - Provides Armor military occupational specialty, additional skill identifier, and Non-Commissioned officer education system (NCOES) training for Army National Guard and Active Component Soldiers. 2-117th RTI (Armor) works in conjunction with the National Guard Bureau (NGB), the Training Doctrine Command (TRADOC), and the Armor Proponent School.
Our mission in the 2-117th RTI (Armor) also calls for us to continue to retain Soldiers in our organization, taking care of the needs of our families, enhancing our partnership with employers and communities, and ensuring that our great Soldiers are trained to meet the ever-changing threats that challenge our nation. We also focus on Military Occupational Specialty Training (MOS-T), individual Soldier skills, and completing NCO professional development courses that will continue to build the competency of the leadership throughout the battalion. In an effort to provide both students and faculty with the most current information the battalion will incorporate Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP’s) and skills learned from deployment into our Training Program and operating procedures.
