Judge Advocate General Office

The Office of The Staff Judge Advocate for the Tennessee National Guard is committed to enhancing the
readiness of servicemembers of the Tennessee National Guard, and to protect and enhance their morale and
promote their welfare, by providing professional and timely legal assistance to all eligible servicemembers,
their family and military retirees. JAG Officers in the Tennessee National Guard responsibilities include protecting
our rights and laws, as well as advising and defending our Soldiers and Airmen. They investigate, prosecute
and defend those charged with crimes in the military, provide legal advice for Tennessee National Guard servicemembers and work with international contracts.

The Army Judge Advocate General's Corps has developed a website containing legal assistance information for Soldiers at www.jagcnet.army.mil/legal. The JAG Corps legal site includes several items, including: a "Locate Legal Assistance" page that displays links to installation Legal Assistance websites and that connects to sites
with instructions for finding military legal services information worldwide, a "Locator" page that helps users find
a private attorney, regulation, publication or form, and connects to several people-locator services for military members, and connecting information to Army claims and military criminal matters information sites.
