Operation Military KidsReady, Set, Go! Training - Building Support Networks
Ready, Set, Go! Training is designed to educate youth workers, educators, counselors and other community service agencies on military culture, the deployment cycle, fostering resilience in kids, influence of the media, and building community capacity to support military kids in the communities
where they live.

4HSpeak Out for Military Kids (SOMK) - Giving Military Youth a Voice
SOMK is a youth-led, adult-supported project that generates community awareness
of issues and concerns faced by Military Children and Youth. Participants develop marketable technology skills, gain leadership skills, experience cutting edge
technology and help develop public service announcements about Military
Youth Programs and “Life as a Military Kid”.

2010Hero Packs - Empowering Communities to
Honor and Support Military Children & Youth

Hero Packs are a tangible expression of support from the communities. Hero
Pack Sling Bags include a letter from a non-military youth to a military youth
thanking them for their sacrifice.  Other contents include stationary, pens,
journals and disposable cameras to help keep Military Youth connected to their deployed loved ones.

Mobile Technology Labs - Connecting Kids with Deployed Parents
Mobile Technology Labs include: laptop computers configured for the internet; digital video
camera; scanner/and software packages, e.g., video/photo editing & webpage design.  Military
Youth use email capability, video cameras, video editing software and create podcasts to
share events with their absent parents. Service Members tap stories and leave video messages
behind for their children.

Operation: Military Kids - Camp Initiative
With funding through OSD OMK provides camping experiences for military youth throughout
the US.  These camps focus on connecting military kids who are having similar experiences
with deployment and provide hands on experiences developing skills to help children and
youth successfully navigate the deployment cycle.
