thanking them for their sacrifice. Other contents include stationary, pens,
journals and disposable cameras to help keep Military Youth connected to their deployed loved ones.
Mobile Technology Labs - Connecting Kids with Deployed Parents
Mobile Technology Labs include: laptop computers configured for the internet; digital video
camera; scanner/and software packages, e.g., video/photo editing & webpage design. Military
Youth use email capability, video cameras, video editing software and create podcasts to
share events with their absent parents. Service Members tap stories and leave video messages
behind for their children.
Operation: Military Kids - Camp Initiative
With funding through OSD OMK provides camping experiences for military youth throughout
the US. These camps focus on connecting military kids who are having similar experiences
with deployment and provide hands on experiences developing skills to help children and
youth successfully navigate the deployment cycle.
