The Tennessee State Guard is organized as a Directorate Headquarters with four Regiments:

Medical Command

Each Regiment and Battalion has its own medical detachment and a Staff Surgeon, all of whom report to Medical Command, Nashville. Medical personnel in the TNSG are registered members of the medical profession who have chosen to lend their talents to their communities in case of need.
