Behind the scenes, business for the 118th Airlift Wing continues on as usual while Trace Adkins reviews footage during the taping of one of his music videos at the Nashville Guard base Sept. 2, 2009. The unit ran all operations as normal while the star and his crew used a corner of the flight line.

Staff Sgt. Angela Harbula, 168th MP Battalion, Dyersburg, volunteered to assist K-9 handlers while deployed to Camp Bucca, Iraq, June 12. Volunteers were also able to tour the kennels and meet the many dogs that were part of the K-9 Exhibition. The dogs are trained in various areas including drug and explosive detection, as well as human trafficking.

Staff Sgt. Thomas Hosfelt, 269th Military Police Company, Murfreesboro, poses for picture after receiving a Puprle Heart for his actions overseas. In February 2009, Hosfelt's unit was attacked while conducting an inspection at an Iraqi Police Station. Hosfelt was shot twice, but still was able to return fire and administer first aid to others who were wounded.
